How to update or replace a file uploaded into Documents

There are two ways to make documents available on your website.

  • If the document are to be accessible to everyone and do not need to be secure, the easiest way to add them to a page is to use the Attachments Library, accessible from the editor toolbar (the paper clip icon).
  • If you want to secure the documents so that only visitors who have logged in can access them, or wnat to make them accessible only to some members ot networks, you should use the Documents option from the main toolbar.

This help page relates to using Documents, not the Attachments Library.


In Documents, search for the document you want to upload, and click on the document's filename link to view the properties for the document.

Click on the [refresh] tab. Here you can browse for a new file to upload and replace the previous one.

Click the Upload Document button. The new file will be uploaded and, if successful, the old one will be deleted.

You may want to update the Intro and/or Notes for the new file.
