How to: Create a web page
To create a new web page on your site you need to use the Page Wizard. This will take you through four simple steps to create the page.
To start, click on the Pages icon on the toolbar above.

Enter a title for the page and click on Start Page Wizard.
Step 1
Choose the type of page you want. This will usually be Page.

Click on Next.
Step 2
Choose the Site Section that you want the page to appear in and decide whether you want the page to appear in the left menu for that section.

Click on Next.
Step 3
Use the page editor to add text and pictures to the page.

Use the images icon
to add pictures from your computer or from the Image Library.
use the
spell checker icon to spell check the page when you've finished.

When you've finished, click on Next. You can make further changes to the text after you've finished the page wizard.
Step 4
Finally, add a brief Intro (this will help users find the page when searching your site) and, if you need to quote a source, enter one too.
Note that the source will appear at the bottom of the page exactly as you enter it. If you enter the source as a hyperlink (e.g. http://www.ssidm.co.uk/), it will appear as a link on the site too.
Click Finish.
Once you have clicked Finish, you will be taken to the Page Editor tab, where you can make further changes to the text.
You can use the Back button at any time without losing any of information you have typed onto the page.
To make the page appear on the site you need to:

Click on the 'status' tab, choose display (Live) and Save.
Click on the 'editor' tab and click 'accept'. If you do not have rights to publish pages, you may need another editor to do you for you once they have reviewed your page.
